Hosted Virtual Desktop and A Mac Lover!
Are you a fan of Apple products and wondering if you have to give them up if you go into the cloud? Our project manager, Dayvia weighs in on her recent Mac purchase and VDI experience:
I recently got a MacBook Air. I consider myself a loyal Mac person, this is my 5th Mac computer and I have had iPhones since they were introduced.
However, for the last 5 years I have worked in the office with a PC and launched our virtual desktop. Often times I work from home in the evenings or most recently sick from bed. From home I launch my windows hosted virtual desktop from Safari on my Mac and work as if I am in the office, no problem. But working from home was a couple hours here and there. I now work a full 40 hour work week with my Mac at work, what a difference. I feel so much more at home!
I now have my MacBook Air hooked up to my large monitor and launch my virtual desktop every day, use my mac mouse and get to take advantage of the best of both worlds. I love it!
